Enhanced Payee Access Is Here!
New features available now!

We are pleased to announce that we've introduced enhanced access to the web portal for agents and billing agents acting on behalf of payees.

Agents and Billing agents acting on behalf of payees are now able to use that payee access to perform functions that were previously only given to rendering provider accounts.

Examples of the new access for agents and billing agents acting on behalf of payees include:
  • Eligibility
  • Prior Authorization lookup and submission
  • Claims Submission
  • and more!
Why is this change significant?
It means that larger organizations that have many rendering providers can get the access they need just by granting the new access through the payee rather than having to grant access through each rendering provider. This can significantly reduce the effort in maintaining user accounts.

We have posted a short document that can be used as a quick reference guide to using the new features. That document is called "Payee Selection Quick Reference Guide" and can be found on our "Web Portal Training" page.

GAMMIS Web Portal Overview

The Georgia Medicaid Management Information System (GAMMIS) serves as the primary web portal for Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids® and all related waiver programs administered by the Department of Community Health's Medical Assistance Plans Division. The GAMMIS portal provides timely communications, data exchange and self-service tools for members and providers with both secure and public access areas.

Members of the public can obtain general information, find a provider and learn more about various Medical Assistance Plans.

Medical Assistance Plan Members can use their ID number and password to enter a secure area to check the status of their enrollment or a request for prior approval.

Medical Assistance Plan Providers can access a wealth of information including notices, manuals, fee schedules, forms, training and more. Providers can also enroll to become a participating provider using the Enrollment Wizard, which includes the ability to track the application status. Once enrolled in Georgia's Medical Assistance Plans, providers can use their Provider ID number and Personal Identification Number (PIN) to enter a secure area of the portal to access claims and remittance information as well as confirmation of Medical Assistance Plan member eligibility.

Member and Provider Surveys are conducted from time to time for process and service improvement.
